Hi all need some help! My golf gt tsi mk5 wont rev past 3000rpm. When the car is left off for a day or two the problem resets itself for a short while and lets me rev pass 3000rpm with no lack of power this is only when the engine is cold after half an hour its back in the limp again.

Hi All, first post here so hoping you can provide some advise I've had my Golf Mk5 (2007) 1.4 TSI 170 for nearly a year now and the engine warning light came on! The car wouldn't rev properly and that has since been rectified under warranty by replacing the chain, which appears to be a known issue.
