The different automatic gearbox styles of a Renault Trafic 2? The gearboxes no longer need to prove themselves on the solidity side, in fact, as it is not for you to manage the gear changes manually and that everything is controlled electronically and mechanically there will be no premature wear of your clutch or other components that could be strained by misuse on your part.
Looking on this site the U1113 code means there is a problem with the communcation between the automatic gearbox and the ABS( ESP). Does anyone have any ideas where to start looking? The automatic handbrake is locked on and my guess is the place to start is the electrical connections/wiring and maybe the ABS.
The 2013-2015 'automatic' gearbox was actually an automated manual, with an actuator. Newer models of the engines had full automatic with Adblue The automated manuals had a lot of issues.
I'm lucky enough to have unlimited access to a fully equipped workshop where I work with two post ramp, transmission jacks and air tools. To do this you need to remove everything above the gearbox including the battery tray to access the gearbox mount. You also have to remove the whole front subframe from underneath the car and also both
A burning smell in a car is never a good sign, so when it comes to the gearbox, a burning smell can be the result of transmission fluid overheating. If the fluid system fails, then other parts of the system will suffer as a result. Transmission fluid acts as lubricant and a cooling agent for the moving parts of a transmission. As they are in
Had exactly this problem with my semi auto Peugeot 3008 - took it to my local Peugeot garage who quoted me £3900 and car only worth about £4.5k so not really an option! Contacted a mate who knew a guy and he has taken my car apart and yeah flywheel is broken and needs a clutch as well as slave cylinder .
Hi I haven’t had my C4 GP 2014 semi automatic 62 k miles since early October It just wouldn’t start one day and had to be recovered to my mechanic, he is at his wits end trying to figure out what is wrong with it, it has started a few times since but generally won’t start and shows , parking brake fault, gear box fault , service light on and gear in -M
Oh, and there’s a new engine and gearbox combination on offer. Namely a big 160bhp diesel with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, for peak big French car waft-ability. And peak big French car
Has your dealer had a proper inspection of the car. I think someone is getting confused between ETG6 Gearbox which is a semi automatic which went out of use by Citroen in late 2014 and early 2015 and is Italian, and the EAT6 Gearbox which is a full automatic and is of Japanese origin (Aisin Warner)

The latest brochure is dated September 2015 and only lists an EAT6 auto gearbox which is probably the latest name for your ETG6 one. A full auto is not listed. In a 12/2013 C4 brochure they had an EGS 6 speed semi auto box but also a 4 speed full auto but only on a petrol car.
Hi All, I have not long aquired a 1.6 C4 Picasso VTR+ with the 6 speed Auto / Manual gearbox, i dont know if its just me, but find when pulling away in 1st gear auto / man mode there is a very slight delay before the drive engages which causes a slight thud, also if i give a bit more rev to pull away, there is a slight judder, question is, is it me not used to this type of gearbox, or is there
Am I right in thinking that the semi auto has two gearboxes? Having driven back from the garage in M 17 miles and driven to Sheffield and back in A, round trip of about 40 miles with no issue but then yesterday a slight jerk between gears in Auto, would it be jus an auto gearbox issue?
Joined: Jan 08 2016. Location: Cambridgeshire. Hi, I need some advice about our 2007 C4 Grand Picasso auto petrol. When it changes gears it makes an awful banging sound. We have been told the gearbox oil needs topping up but I've read on here that you shouldn't need too. Any advice would be appreciated.
